Mill Creek hosted Peachtree Ridge for a 9-hole golf match on Tuesday,
March 9th, at the Hamilton Mill Golf Club.
BOYS:
Peachtree Ridge defeats Mill Creek 160 - 163. Jack Walsh led Peachtree
Ridge with a 38, while Ben Miller and Ricky Moore led Mill Creek with a
40.

GIRLS:
Mill Creek defeats Peachtree Ridge 123 - 84.
Madison Crawford led Mill Creek with a 41, while Ginie Eyraud led

Wins 2010 Gwinnett Open
Tournament Title
On Saturday (2/27), the Mill Creek Girls Golf Team won the 2010 Girls
Gwinnett Open Golf Tournament, besting 19 other teams in the process. This was Mill Creek's 3rd straight win in the tournament. They
played at the Chimneys Golf Club in Winder, GA. Each team started four
girls, and the sum of the top 3 scores counted as the team score. Also,
this tournament was played with a Modified Stableford format, which
awards points for scores. An eagle was worth +8 points, a birdie +4, a
par +2, bogey +1, and double-bogey or higher earned +0.
(L to R): Sophomore Judy Nam led Mill Creek with +36 points (4th overall), junior Jordan Krahn had +15 points, senior Ashley Frier had +25 points (7th overall), and senior Madison Crawford
had +22 points.

BOYS:
Mill Creek defeated North Gwinnett 153-165. Kevin Lee led Mill Creek with a 1-under-par 35, and Nick Stillwell added a 38. North Gwinnett was led by Taylor Shaw with a 38.

2009 AAAAA State Champions Again!

On Monday, May 4th, at the Indian Mound course in Jekyll Island, GA, the Mill Creek High School Girls Golf Team won the 2009 AAAAA State Championship,
defending their 2008 title. The MC Girls shot a team score of
4-over-par 148, besting runner-up Colquitt County (155) by 7 strokes
and 3rd place Harrison (161) by 13 strokes.
Mill Creek senior Emilie Burger led Mill Creek with an even-par 72,
good for 2nd place individually, and freshman Judy Nam shot a
4-over-par 76, which was 3rd individually. Senior Jennifer Nam shot an
82, good for 7th individually, and senior Jennifer Worsham shot 83,
good for 8th individually. Also congratulations are in order for
teammates Ashley Frier, Madison Crawford, and Jordan Krahn. Also,
thanks and congratulations to Assistant Coach Bob Nelson and Assistant
Coach Tim Keag.

The girls Golf Team won the AAAAA State Title on Monday afternoon at the Indian Mound golf course on Jekyll Island. For 18 holes, they shot a team score of 154, which bested runner-up North Gwinnett by 9 strokes (163). Emilie Burger shot a 1-over-par 73 to win the individual AAAAA title. Jennifer Nam's 81 was 6th in the state. Ashley Frier and Jennifer Worsham each shot 95.
